Thurso College

Practice Responsibilities
Civil and Structural Engineering Design

The new Thurso Student Service Centre building forms a link between two very different but distinctive buildings, one, a precast, concrete clad 1960's tower block which has been recently reclad in glass, and a newer, single storey traditionally harled building.
The new building's distinctive hexagonal form is generated by the angle between these two buildings, and features a glazed central light well and natural ventilation system.
